HOSPITALITY LABORATORIES - Housekeeping Room

Hospitality/ Hotel Management students also benefit from the Housekeeping Lab which is designed as a mock-up of a Hotel Suite Room. Students are taught the various skills of room arrangement, bed making, cleaning equipment handling as they would in a 5-star hotel or resort. This real-life practice enables students to be prepared when they go for training and placement to larger facilities.

FRONT OFFICE LAB

From the time guests make reservations, arrive, stay and until they depart, front office personnel play a pivotal role in providing guest services. Guest services that must meet the ever-changing needs and demands of guests whilst striving to exceed guest expectations.The students are taught the technical aspects of Front Office Operations to Management in the Hospitality Industry. At the same time, considerable inputs are given using myriad training techniques, to develop the right attitude towards a service mind-set, both in the classroom and outside.

The focus is on getting students Industry ready by the time they reach the Final Year.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICE LAB

Here teaching and training the students in the art and technique of serving and selling food and beverage. The students are imparted all the knowhow of dining etiquettes, for example, fine dining, buffet and banquet service during special events. The students are trained to be proficient in all the skills of management required in the area of food and beverage i.e. to serve, to supervise and to manage in their 1st, 2nd and 3rd year respectively. Menu and the maxims of Menu-Planning; Food and Wine harmony; familiarization with F&B service equipments; restaurant layouts; on-table arrangements for multiple cuisines, etc. – students acquire mastery in these skills with the inputs from both theory and practical classes.

BAKERY AND CONFECTIONARY LAB

This department is responsible for making all bread products pastry product, cakes and biscuit which are commonly used in hotels. Here student go through basic preparation of bread making , cookies , cake , and icing , marzipan ,student also learn to work with modern equipment.

BASIC TRAINING KITCHEN

This kitchen is for the beginners. The course is designed to provide a basic understanding of kitchen (food-production) in the hospitality industry. Students will be able to understand, organize, and perform the various functions that are critical to the success of a hotel. They are trained in the preparation of different kinds of food with presentation, along with technical knowledge and competencies with proper mindset. The fresher’s are given an in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge and are exposed to the working conditions of a kitchen, and gear up for further challenges, which they have to face in hospitality field.

e-LEARNING ENABLED CAMPUS

Kingston Educational Institute is an e-learning enabled Campus delivering education to the students through different electronic platforms ensuring their education uninterrupted at any condition. Kingston Educational Institute has also tied up with Microsoft Education for Campus (Teams) to provide quality training to the students.

Microsoft Teams aren’t limited to classroom collaboration. Teachers can engage students in different ways with text, video, voice integrations, as well as with emojis, stickers, and GIFs. This encourages natural behaviours and allows students to interact socially making the learning experience fun and fluid.
