Kingston Educational Institute, the stepping stone for the students to enter into the kingdom of higher education has completed its 12 years of its glorious existence on serving humanity. The sprawling campus covering an area of 30 acres of land is located in a semi-urban place surrounded by lush green meadow in the serenity of pollution free and eco-friendly environment. Under the RTE Act, B.Ed degree from a recognized institute has been made compulsory for the appointment of teachers in government-aided secondary and higher secondary schools in most of the states of India. B. Ed. course at Kingston Teachers’ Training College is aimed to develop a new generation of teachers as potential teaching-learning professionals possessing the distinct quality that revolves around the pupil through the systematic and scientific study of body and mind of children, their adolescence and development. The program is appropriately designed such that the learner understands different ages of pupils and their specific teaching-learning requirements through interactive methodologies. The focus of the course is to prepare wannabe teaching-learning professionals adaptable to constructivist nature of different children, influenced by their family, school, neighborhood & community.

Kingston Teachers’ Training College offers two-year B.Ed. course following the approved syllabus of the affiliating University which includes Foundation subjects, Educational psychology, Music, Fine Arts, Art & Craft, Physical Education etc. along with the following method subjects:

  • English
  • Sanskrit
  • Hindi
  • Physical Science
  • Computer Science
  • Life Science
  • Mathematics
  • History
  • Geography
  • Accountancy

Eligibility- as per NCTE norms

Intake- 100 FOR SESSION 2018-2020

  1. Candidates with at least 50% marks in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences, Humanities, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other equivalent qualification are eligible for admission to the programme.
  2. The reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government/State Government, whichever is applicable.

 Career Prospect: Candidates with B Ed degree are eligible for appointment as assistant teachers in various government as well as private secondary and higher secondary schools. Apart from schools, graduates and postgraduate with B.Ed. degree have many other employment avenues as educational consultants, teachers of different coaching centers, private tutors etc.

In this respect, it is worthy to note that the Government of India has invested Rs 22,500 crores during 2016-2017 to strengthen children’s primary education with an increased allocation under the Sarva  Shiksha  Abhiyan (2016-2017).
